I come from a law enforcement family, My father was a Kennebec Deputy and my grandfather and his twin were original Troopers. Between the three of us we have 96 years in the State Police, proudly serving and keeping the people of Maine safe.
I am retired from a 25-year career with the Maine State Police, where I received several commendations for outstanding public service. I was a logger and farmer working on dairy and beef farms for many years before that. I am married to my wife, Tammy, and we have four children. I have enjoyed many good years of hunting, trapping, and farming in the state of Maine. I am a Gardiner High graduate and have a degree from UMA.
I previously served one-term as our State Representative from 2012-2014. During that time, I served on the Criminal Justice and Inland Fisheries and Wildlife committees. As our representative, I voted for legislation to expand access to affordable healthcare, increase opportunities for local agriculture to supply Maine food systems, and increase the minimum wage.
If elected this year, my priorities will be to lower the cost of healthcare, keep property taxes affordable, and expand broadband across the state.
These are challenging times, and we need someone who values honesty, integrity, and hard work to represent us in Augusta.
